Jessie July,
As I sat to write to you, the first thoughts that came to mind, was your father, although you were only TWO when he became your guardian angel, you had already stole his heart. I think about the pride he would have for you this year, as you prepare for graduation.
As I watched you be photographed for these High school Senior pictures, I was amazed at how fast life has moved from your birth, to toddler, elementary school, middle school, and finishing up high school. I am so happy you have chosen to continue on with your college education. I will support you no matter where you choose to go, even though you won't let me be your room mate.
These high school years for you have been a journey, I've seen you grow and mature, I've seen you in love, laugh and cry... I've seen you learn thru life's lessons...I've watched you develop into the most beautiful young lady. I'm so proud of your standards and choices you have taken for yourself.
You are the bravest young person I know, from changing schools during Katrina, to the loss of a close friend. I've been blessed to have you with me thru storms, and happy times. YOU have made me STRONGER.
I'm so proud that you are Better than me, you have great things in store for you future, you many not yet know what it is, but I believe whatever it is, you will rock it.
I Thank God for blessing me with you and your brother, you two lil people are the best things that happened in my life. My prayers for you both will be that one day you will feel the unconditional love of a child in your lives...a love that a parent NEVER surrenders. I will always be here for you, no matter the path of your life.
Love you always,
Your Mommie
